NinjaTrader 6.5 Beta is here!

The team at NinjaTrader is very excited to bring you NinjaTrader Version 6.5 Beta with over 160 user driven enhancements. You are welcome to use this beta release and report back any issues you run across in this forum section.

Following are several key items that you need to be made aware of:

Installation

• You can have both NT6.xx and NT6.5 Beta simultaneously installed on your PC (we recommend this since you want to have access to NT6 should you run into any issues with the beta version)
• You can only run one version of NT at a time
• If you have not done so, please review the list of what’s new

Moving NinjaScript Files and/or Custom 3rd Party Indicators

• To move your custom NinjaScript files start NT6 and use the export facility via File > Utilities > Export NinjaScript. Close down NT6 and start NT6.5 and then import the exported file via File > Utilities > Import NinjaScript
• Please contact your 3rd party vendor for any instructions/compatibility issues for NinjaTrader 6.5. Please be patient with our 3rd party partners as they may not have had a chance to test and make any modifications necessary for proper operation in NT6.5

Attention NinjaScript Developers
There are a few code breaking changes if you use the following indicator methods. Please see the Help Guide for new method signatures.

• RegressionChannel
• ZigZag
• Slope
• Pivot
• WoodiesPivot

Also, strategies by default now use GTC (Good Till Cancelled) order time in force instead of DAY.

Chart Bar Building Logic

• Minute bars are now built using the time stamp range of :00 until :59
• End of bar time stamp is still maintained thus a 9:31 AM bar is constructed using data from 9:30:00 to 9:30:59

MBT Users (Warning)

• You must use MBT Navigator Version 11 on your PC. NT6 will NOT run with MBT Navigator Version 11
• Download MBT Navigator Version 11
