Add any data series (and indicator to data series) in Strategy Analyzer chart

Hi,

It seems in NT8 I can only view my strategy's primary data series in the Strategy Analyzer's chart. Please allow me to view any data series in the Strategy analyzer's chart. I'd like to be able to add it to the chart via the same GUI features used to add the data to a realtime chart.

Same goes for the ability to see indicators applied to any data series (rather then just the primary data series).

Not being able to view this data makes it impossible to know if I programed my multit-frame strategy correctly.


PS.
I know I can custom program my strategy to display this data, but that still makes testing impossible. This is because I would not have a way of testing to see if the custom code I wrote to to display this data was written properly (in other words, I would have no way of "testing the test").

Thanks for your post.

I will create a feature request "to allow the addition of any dataseries or indicators through the strategy Analyzer UI". I will update this thread when I have further information.

Please note that you can add indicators to the chart of the strategy analyzer. I understand this does not provide a complete solution for you, and that the indicators would have to be re-added after each run, but wanted to ensure you were aware of that existing capability in the strategy analyzer.

If I may suggest, the Strategy Analyzer is tool best used for analyzing the trading performance of a strategy over a large data set. When developing a strategy one would also create a test environment on a smaller data set that displays all of the data series and indicators needed so that you can ensure the proper execution of the strategy. Once the strategy is executing properly, then use the Strategy Analyzer to see the trading performance over the longer data set.
