Disabling the DOM
Can you please tell me if there is a way to make the DOM disappear altogether as an option in the File > New menu?

Hello sandman,
Thanks for your post and I am happy to assist you. Unfortunately there is no supported way of disabling the SuperDom menu item from File>New in Control Center.
