    Hmmm. Beyond ASUS.

    Hi all,

    I have an Intel MOBO and I am experiencing the same problem. My OS is Vista 64 Home Premium w/ SP1. I saw a thread recommending to replace the default workspace XML file, so I'll try that when I get a chance. Still... seems odd that it works the second time the app is launched.

    I'm really looking forward to official 64-bit support in NT.

      I am having the same problem but it starts when loading custom dll. I am using v6.5 on Vista 32. I've already reinstalled once but that didn't work.

        Please create a new thread in the future.

        I noticed the My Documents folder is located on a network drive. Please follow the instructions at the link below.

          Thanks - will do.

          I actually already followed those instructions. Before it would freeze up at times, but I'd get lucky and get it at times. There were no indicators. I followed those instructions and since then I have not been able to get in NT.

            How long do you wait for the software to be started?

            Can you please uninstall/re-install NinjaTrader now that the level of thrust has been modified.

            Please uninstall NinjaTrader via the Windows Control Panel-->Add/Remove Programs (XP), Programs and Features (Vista).

            You can download NinjaTrader at the link below.


            Check if the software starts the initial attempt.

              For what it is worth, recently I noticed that NT sometimes was hanging on startup. Checking the Task Manager when NT was hung, I found an OUTLOOK.EXE Process Image Name, yet there were no open Outlook windows. I run MS Outlook 2003 as my email client on Windows XP Pro. When I Ended the OUTLOOK.EXE Process with Task Manager, NT immediately started.

              As I said this only started recently, perhaps caused by Outlook update.

                I tried just opening it and letting it sit there for a while. I've done that 3 times and it opens within 2-3 minutes. That's pretty slow for a high end machine with 4 gigs of RAM but it is opening. It seems that multitasking is causing it to freeze up for some reason.

                However, I am still not seeing any indicators. Intranet is on Full Trust.

                  Do you not see any indicators in the Indicator menu or do you not see any indicators values when you apply an indicator in the chart?

                    Correct. No indicators are listed. I do see them in the folder though - NT just isn't finding them.

                        Thanks, but I have already followed those instructions. My intranet is set as Full Trust.

                        I tried reinstalling it again and now NT will not open again. It keeps locking up at Compiling custom dll. I've waited 5+ minutes.

                          NT finally came up after an extend amount of time (unknown - I left the PC and came back). When I opened a Chart an error came up and said to shut down NT and report the error. I restarted my PC and havent been able to open NT again (waiting up to 5 minutes).

                          I can send the trace when error occurred but its too long to post.

                                Hello MacBeth,

                                I suggest to leave the less intense workspace opened (only) upon exiting the software. That way, when you start NinjaTrader the next time, it does not have to load that much. Subsequently open your additional workspaces via File-->Workspaces-->Open Workspace.

                                Make you do not have workspaces opened in the background when exiting the software as well. Go to File-->Workspaces and check what workspaces are listed below 'Save Workspace As'. The workspace with the checkmark is the workspace opened on your monitor. Any additional workspaces listed, are opened in the background.

                                Select a workspace without a checkmark and subsequently go to File-->Workspaces-->Close Workspace. Repeat this process until only one workspace is opened.
