connecting failed! Fix server not responding

Im only new at all this and have not had trouble before today.
Does this mean there is something outside my control that is the problem?

trading technologies

I link to trading technologies through Alaron.
The actual message was
"Login Failed:The Fix server is not responding, Unable to connect."
When I try again it says...
"Login failed:Unable to initialize API: Configuration failed: Could not open body file"

No offense to anyone at Alaron but their IT support knows nothing about connecting NT to TT gateway. They seem to think it magically connects to TT gateway. Having said that, you need the TT Fix Adapter. Download it from TT or demand it from Alaron. Install it and you're ready to go. Good luck on trying to explain that to them.

the strange thing is - I was trading fine up till today.

When you get the body file message, it means that you just need to restart NT. Fix adapter not responding means that NT is unable to make contact with the TT Fix server. This could be due to -

- Incorrect IP server settings on your side
- The TT servers are unavailable/temporarily down
- Temporary ISP issues

Let us know if you continue to have this problem.

I appreciate your help guys.
This afternoon it all just started working.
Reckon it might have been a bit of problems in the tt server rather than my end.
Good to know what the problem was.
