Trade Not Registering

    Trade Not Registering

    This started to happen yesterday and is continuing today.

    I make a 20 pip trade and close out. I go into the Control Center-Account Performance -Generate (and I am on the correct date) and it shows that no trades have been made for today. It was hit and miss yesterday too so I shut everything thing down, rebooted and it seems that the problem is still there.

    Any thoughts on how to fix?

    Hello Segwin,

    Thank you for writing in. The first thing you will want to be sure of is that you are generating account performance for the account that you actually made the trade on. Please click the "Advanced >>" button in the Account Performance tab and verify that the account you placed the trade on is checked. If it wasn't, please press "Generate" again and recheck the data.

    If it was, could you please clarify if you are connected to the Market Replay Connection when viewing the account performance tab or if you were when you placed the original trade?

      Hello Michael,

      I checked in the are that you spoke of and everything was checked. I reinstalled NT using the repair function and it seems to be working now. I will get back to you if it starts to act up again.

          Still have a problem. I was testing and had a trade that I closed for a loss. When checking account performance again it doesn't show the correct dollar amount.

          What next?

            Hello,

            Please send me your log and trace files for today and a copy of your database so that I may look into what occurred.

            You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Platform Support.

              Trying one last thing Kyle. I have deleted the DB (still in recycle can) and am starting anew. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the program.

              If I start a trade and then 30 seconds later decide to close it the summery should still show it as a loss along with commissions correct?

                Hello,

                I would recommend that you double-check your commission settings considering that you've recently reinstalled NinjaTrader. Assuming that commissions are configured correctly I would expect to see commissions shown in the performance report after that report is generated.

                  Well, thought the problem was fixed but it isn't.

                  Just did a sim trade on the EURUSD which was a winning trade but in account performance I lost 1.035.25.

                  Something is really wrong here.

                        Hello,

                        It is difficult to determine anything except that you entered a trade and were still in it when you took the screenshot. Could you please confirm that you exited that position before generating the account performance report? Please send a screen shot of the executions sub-tab of the account performance report so I can further investigate the issue.

                            Sorry Michael,

                            Attached is the subtab pic.

                            I think the problem is with the commission part of the NT . I erased the commission values and it seems to be back OK now.

                              Hello Segwin,

                              Thank you for providing that picture. It is showing a commission cost of $1,040.00 dollars for the round trip of that single trade. In this case your profit would have been $4.75 so $4.75 - $1040 = Your PnL of -$1035.25

                              I believe it is likely you have either incorrectly configured your commissions or are not trading the quantity you think you are, or both.
