    Trouble Charting Historical Data

I've just imported a bunch of historical data. I received a message that the data was successfully imported. I imported the historical ES data under symbol ES ##-## because it ranged over several rollover dates so a single date would not have been correct for the whole data set. Once data was loaded a I tried to bring up a chart but the chart is empty.

    What am I doing wrong?

    thanks,

    rsi77

    Hi rsi77,

    Thank you for your post.

Please try reimporting the data in to the current contract for the instrument and let me know if the issue persists.

I'm still getting an empty chart...anything else to try?

      Thanks,

        Hi rsi77,

        Thank you for your reply.

Are there any import errors listed in the log tab of the Control Center?

Thanks, it seems to be working for the most part, though I haven't checked all the different historical periods.

One question: When importing data Ninja asks if I wish to create minutes bars. If I were to choose "yes" would this mean that I would not have access to tick or volume charts using this data, or does it just mean it will be easier to make minute charts?

              Thanks,

              rsi77

                Hi rsi77,

                Thank you for your reply.

Glad to hear that the historical data is now showing!

No, you would still have access to the tick and volume data as well. You will just be able to create minute charts with the data as well.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
