    How does the DOM count the ticks?

    Example below shows ticks in profit for TF for my IB account (number neutralized).

    Position entered (both contracts) 707.7
    707.9 -> 1 tick ??
    708.1 -> 3 ticks ??
    708.2 -> 5 ticks -> ok
    708.3 -> 5 ticks ?

    I am a bit lost here. How does NinjaTrader calculate this? At least shown profits are not in line with the DOM itself.

    Hello Harry,

    Thank you for your post.

    This calculation is based off the last traded price. I have tested this on my end and was unable reproduce this issue.

    Can you please tell me what version of NinjaTrader you currently have installed by going to Help-->About. If you do not have NinjaTrader 7.0.0.23 installed please upgrade at the link I have provided below.

    Next please install IB Standalone TWS 906.8 at the link I have provided below.

    Please let me know if the issue persists after this procedure.

        Please close all your open workspaces by going to the Control Panel-->File-->Workspaces-->Close Workspace

        After you have closed all workspaces please create a new workspace by going to the Control Center-->File-->Workspaces-->New Workspace

        Within the new workspace please open a new SuperDOM and let me know if the issue persists.

          Harry,

          PnL please check Tools > Options, there is a setting that toggles PnL calculation from last or bid/ask.

            -> Use last price for PnL is ticked
            -> Apply commisions to PnL calculations is also ticked (but I have not entered any values for commissions, as I do not use this feature, so all commissions are set to 0)

              I will recreate a new workspace and a new SuperDOM and test it tomorrow. Then come back to you with the results.

                I created a new empty workspace. Closed all other workspaces. Then I created a new SuperDOM. and opened a position with TF.

                The same problem occured, the SuperDOM cannot count the ticks correctly.

                This is really basic stuff and should not happen.
