Difference between strategy running on grid vs running on a chart

I was running my strategy on the Ninja Grid, and it executed a trade. Later when reviewing the trades for the day, I could not see based on the custom indicators what caused the trade to trigger, as none of my signal were generated based on the charts i had. I ran a back test on the data year to date, it indicated that a trade should not have been taken.

I decided to download market replay data and rerun the strategy: one on the chart, and one on the grid. The grid executed a trade again, while the chart based one did not.

Any clues as to why this may be happening? I am using Ninja Version 7 beta 10

richa61416, please ensure you're using exactly the same dataset to test on in both cases..i.e same days back settings and session templates.

Yes they are the same 10 bars. So not too sure what is happening in the grid dataset

Please try the same approach with exactly the same dataset and sessions with our SampleMACrossOver strategy. Started one instance from the chart and one from the grid - exactly the same result.

Thanks richa61416, then you would need to step into your custom strategy debugging why you would see such a difference here. Do you give the indicators used enough data to fully normalize before generating signals you would consider taking?
