Trading options from chart of underlying symbol

Is trading the options from chart of underlying symbol impossible?
Setting stops and target from chart would be very nice.

Not sure I follow what you mean. You can already trade from the charts with Chart Trader. The use of ATM strategies along with Chart Trader will allow you to submit stop/profit orders automatically. They can also be modified from the chart directly.

Unfortunately NinjaTrader does not support trading options at this time.

        Options support

Thanks guys for all the new features in ver 6.5.1000.1 An outstanding effort!

NT options support tops my new feature request list, and I am sure this is the case for many others too. I expect that options support would have wide spread appeal, as it does seem to reappear in the forum regularly.

I see from the Instrument Manager that some work has already been carried out, and so am confused by the following advice:

Is options support a work in progress and planned for say ver 7? Or is there a way to create a new instrument for every option. (I have tried this to no avail with the new TD Ameritrade adapter )

        Thanks.

            Options support

Thanks Dierk. Not sure why it is so hard - but I am sure there are obstacles, and great demand from users, and especially from corporates.

I for one would be willing to pay extra for an options enhancement.

Has anyone in the forum found a work around?

I suppose I could use NT to generate a signal and write it to a text file, then use Visual Basic to check for the text file and load the request in Excel, and then use the IB API to read the excel file.

Why do I feel like I just went back to the dark ages and need to speak to an ex Tradestation forum member !
