'from' date needs to be smaller than 'to' date

    Hi,

I am trying to run a strategy, but getting the above error message. This has, in the past, always gone away if I set the date to yesterday or before, but this time setting the date to previous day has no effect, and I still get the message. Where is the 'to' date anyway?

    Thanks

Where are you running the strategy from?

The Strategies tab. I found restarting Ninja cleared the message, but I would still like to know where the 'to' date is! BTW, thanks to all Ninja staff for providing such timely responses on the forum.

Do you have in your strategy code "hard coded" To and From data, likely in Initialize() ?

No, there's nothing at all related to dates coded. It's an extremely simple, bare-bones strategy, that doesn't even take any parameters. I just wasn't sure what it meant by 'To' date.

It kind of follows on from my question last week about running a strategy 'from now', instead of having to have a 'from' date, as it seems to me that you'd mostly want to just run a strategy from 'now', until you hit the 'stop' button. I can live with it; I was just curious.

            FYI: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/v...ead.php?t=4388

I'm assuming you are on 6.0. When that used to happen to me, I would re-run a backtest and make sure the To date was today. Somehow the date from backtesting would carry over if I remember correctly.

I suggest retrying on NT6.5. Please let us know if problem persists. Thanks
