    Indicator Assistance

    Hello

I would like an indicator which sounds an alert on the close of a price bar.

I'd like it capable of sounding on volume, tick and intraday charts.

I have sent inquiries to many 'authorized' contacts regarding the costs and received back estimates ranging from $400 to $150 (USD).

I felt the prices were out of line with the indicator. Could anyone guide me to a capable (reasonable) source or resolution for this indicator?

Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated, as I'm programming challenged.

    Thank You

    Hello,

    I suggest asking these consultants:

      Hello

Those are the same folks from which I requested pricing for this simple indicator.

Each reply fell into the several hundred dollar range.

For whatever reasons, their bids were far out of line with the actual coding involved.

      Thank You

        Hello,

I can't speak for them because I don't know, but as a programmer it would make sense to charge a minimum fee for the costs associated with programming anything of any size. I.e. every project has a fixed cost that is not dependent on the size of the project. Do a project for less than this cost is just not profitable. I suspect that is why they do it, but I am speculating.

How much a challange is it for you?
You could click on "Help" in the NT Control Center and type alert under "Index". There you find the explanation how to implement an alert. And if I understand you correctly, it should then play a sound at each end of bar. That means you would wait for the FirstTickOfBar and play your sound.

          Regards
          Ralph

"Insert the following under “OnBarUpdate()” at the place in your logic where you want the alert:" This code is great so thank you so much, but I need just a little more help since I'm not well versed in programming. I have an indicator I'm trying to add sound to. I have done what I can to follow your directions but need help in finding the "place in my logic" to add this part of the code. Many Thanks, Julius juliusnyny, You can always post a request in the "Want …
