    NT7B6 w/ MBTrading Historical Data

    Hi guys,

I have been working w/ NT7B6 and MBTrading (Nav 11.4.0.2).
I have no historical data; a completely clear / reset data base. I have set MBTrading as my Historical data provider in the account connections.

I am no longer able to get minute based historical data by loading a chart; I didn't have this issue with NT7B5.

    1. Load a minute chart (which would normally, automatically retrieve historical data).
    2. Download Minute, Last data via the Historical Data Manager.
    3. Reloading Historical data after either 1 or 2 have been tried.

The error I get is "Error on loading chart data for $GBPUSD Default: Error (errServerSideFormatting) on loading historical data"

All attempts have been w/ a request within the maximum of 10 days. This does not occur when requesting Tick data.

Also, if you try and delete data via the Historical Data Manager-->Edit, NT crashes. "NT has detected a problem and needs to shut down ... " This is while I'm still connected to the price data server, with no charts open.

Can anyone else confirm this issue w/ NT7B6 and MBTrading.

    Thanks

    >> "Error on loading chart data for $GBPUSD Default: Error (errServerSideFormatting) on loading historical data"
This is a native MBT message. Please contact your broker for clarification.

    >> Also, if you try and delete data via the Historical Data Manager-->Edit, NT crashes. "NT has detected a problem and needs to shut down ... " This is while I'm still connected to the price data server, with no charts open.
I could not reproduce. Could you please provide detailed steps? Thanks

Hey Dierk, thanks for the quick response.

I first thought it was MBT, but I can request historical minute data in NT7B5 without any issue. This only started with NT7B6.

The NT crash is sporadic. Next time it happens I'll post detailed steps here.

      Thanks

Are you saying you right now tried again NT7B5 and it worked? if not, then my statement below stands.

Note: We experienced all sorts of limitations and issues with historical data from MBT. I only can recommend contacting your broker right as see an error message like the one below.

Yes sir, right now. I understand about the limitations. As far as I know the historical data service is in beta, but that doesn't explain why it works on 7B5 and not 7B6

          I have 1 computer running NT7B5 w/ MBT 11.4.0.2
          Another computer running NT7B6 w/ MBT 11.4.0.2

I attempt to download 10 days of GBPUSD Minute, Last data.

I'll look into this w/ MB as well.

          Thanks

Hmm .. I just opened a GBPUSD 1min chart (all default) based on a fresh DB no problem.

Did you ask your broker what the native error means?

I just cleared everything out and the problem still persists.

I'll find out what the native error means and get back to you.

                  Thanks

                    Hi Dierk

Just to report back, errServerSideFormatting is an MBTrading problem.

Everything pertaining to Historical data is working properly.
