    NT7.4 64bit intallation problem

    I have just upgraded from 7.3 to 7.4 and the 64 bit version will not start.
    This has become a frustrating habit.
    32 bit version works fine.
    Will try a fresh install shortly.

    Thank you for your post.

    It should not be necessary to perform a re-install completely, and if you can forward me your log and trace diagnostic files to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com I would be glad to review those files for the precise cause of the exception, and the specific solution for the particular issue.

    You will find the log file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.
    • The log file will be named ‘log.YYYYMMDD.txt’

    You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
    • The trace file will be named ‘trace.YYYYMMDD.txt’

      Sent.
      After uninstalling and re-installing, the 64 bit version did not get reinstalled.
      Same problem as before.

        I'm having the same problem. Sent log and trace files. (upgrading to 7.0.1000.4 from previous)

          Thank you for your post.

          The issue can be resolved if you were to install the following Microsoft SQL CE application from the following link:
          SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP2 is an embedded database that allows developers to build robust applications for Windows desktops and mobile devices. The download contains the files for installing SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP2 and Synchronization Services for ADO.NET version 1.0 SP1 on Windows desktop.


          After installing that application for both the 32-bit and 64-bit applications then you should be able to open the application, but if you have sent those files we will follow-up in that manner as well.

            Looks like it's working now. For others who may have the same problem, I uninstalled NT completely and then reinstalled it using the link below. I tried repair but that didn't solve the problem.

            What's peculiar is that it got installed in my Program Files (X86) folder instead of Program Files even though I specified the latter which is the 64bit folder. I wonder why.

            Please close out of any copies of NinjaTrader you may have running.



            Once closed please download and run the NinjaTrader installation, you will receive a Repair or Remove option, select "Repair"





            Once the repair is complete, Do you now have a NinjaTrader 7 64-bit icon on your desktop?

            If not is the "C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 7\bin64" empty? if not please right click NinjaTrader.exe and select "Send to" > "Desktop (Shortcut)"
