    Smoothed Bid/Ask Volume Indicator

    Hi all,

I'm using a smoothed volume indicator on Ensign to show me who (basically) is in control. Now that I want to migrate everything to NT it is necessary to "convert" (code) this indicator for NT.

I have to say that I'm clueless here, but maybe this is interesting for someone who is a bit smarter.

At the end it's the bid/ask volume smoothed out with a 10 WMA plotted as a histogram.

You could review those already posted in the sharing section - http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/...bid+ask&desc=1

Also, per default we offer several volume indicators for NinjaTrader -

      Thanks Bertrand.

Yes I checked the indicator section before. But this is not 100% what I need.

Btw, NT/ supports historical B/A data?

Yes, for some providers this will be supported with NinjaTrader 7 - http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/NT7/NinjaTrader7.html

When creating a chart, you can select that market data type (Ask, bid or last) that the chart is driven by. Historical bid/ask data is only supported by some broker and market data vendors.

Buy Sell Volume Indicators for NinjaTrader

You will find some excellent indicators that track bid and ask volumes in this thread. Look back to late 2007 and early 2008 for the posts by sbgtrading.

You can find this thread by doing a search for "GomCD".

          Try this link:

            Thanks Ricam,

I have played around with the indicators of this thread, but it's again not absolutely what I was looking for, but thanks again for your tip.

The volume indicator I use at the moment in Ensign is for general direction. For a more immediate reading I recently found this indicator to be very interesting: http://www.linnsoft.com/tour/techind/vb.htm

It's a bit like the Buy Sell Strength indicator for NT but incorporates a few more calculations I believe.

So one is smoothed, the other pure bid ask volume indicator, both I did not find so far for NT. Maybe someone who is able to code is also interested.
