Changes does not show in "Available master instruments" view after editing

Hi!

When I edit the Tick Size and Point Value for a currency instrument the changes does not show in "Available master instruments" view after pressing ok. I have to close the Instrument Manager and reopen it to see the changes. Is it supposed to be like this?

It seems to update on mine immediately. Are you on B19?

1. Open Instrument Manager
2. Find any instrument
3. Edit
4. Change tick size
5. Press OK
6. Listing is immediately updated

Yes I am using B19, but I still do not get immediate update. Maybe it has something to do with that I am using Windows 7 64-bit. NinjaTrader is installed in the (x86) folder. In "Security" for the folder I have set "Users" to "Full Control" in case there would be any trouble writing to the files within it. Fresh install. On a previous installation of Windows 7 on the same machine I had the B16 version, so it should be ok with the files and folders in My Documents if I have understood it right (the old folders still existed because I change the default path to another hard drive partition after a fresh install of Windows).

I too am on Windows 7 64-bit and have it installed in the (x86) directory. Unfortunately I am out of ideas as to why the listing is not updating for you. Maybe you could try popping in a different instrument search and then coming back to see if it updates with that operation?

I tried what you said by just picking an instrument and then it is working, but when I search for an instrument and get only this in view it is not working. One step wiser though.

By the way, I have three suggestions for the NT 7 where two of them would make a couple of functions more intuitive to use when charting I think. Where could I submit these?

I tried a search for "ES" to only get the E-mini instrument showing up in the Instrument Manager. I changed the tick size, pressed OK, and it updated immediately on my end. Unfortunately I am out of ideas. What instrument are you trying?

It's the FOREX pairs like AUDJPY and so on.

Regarding suggestions, do you have a specific forum in mind?

1. Not connected to any provider
2. Instrument Manager
3. Search AUDUSD
4. Select it, Edit
5. Change tick size to next one in the list
6. Press OK
7. Listing is updated to new selection

Unfortunately I do not know why it does not do it on your end. I believe even if it does not update in the grid, it will be updated in your database already though so you should be able to use it right away regardless.
