Getting old contract into Instrument List

In the instrument manager, I have the ES contract defined and under the contracts and rollovers section, it defines contracts back to 2005. However, the drop-down box in the instrument manager that allows me to select the exchange and contract to place a specific one in the instrument list (see attached pic) only shows contracts going back to 2011, as it lists every month and it only needs to be every quarter for this contract. So how would I get the 03-08 ES contract into the instrument list on the left?

I am doing this so that I can access the 03-08 contract in the historical data manager, and the only way seems to be for that contract to be in one of the instrument lists.

    Hello JoshDance,

    Thank you for your post.

To view older contact expiries you will need to change your PC date to an earlier date. Please follow the instructions below to add the old expiry to your instrument list:
    1. Shut down NinjaTrader.
    2. Go to your date and time on your Windows Task Bar.
    3. Right click and select Adjust date/time.
    4. On the Date and Time tab select Change data and time...
    5. Change the date to something such as 12-20-2008.
    6. OK > OK.
    7. Restart NinjaTrader.
    8. Go to Tools > Instrument Manager > search for the future > select the expiry from 08 you wish to add > press the "<" button to add the expiry to your instrument list > OK.
    9. You can now shut down NinjaTrader > change your date back to the correct date > and then restart NinjaTrader.

Please let me know if you are able to add the expiry by following the instructions above.

Thank you, this got them in the list. I am unable to download for ES 03-08 and earlier from IQFeed for some reason now, but that is a separate issue and I'm asking them about this first. Thanks again.

        Hello,

Is there any way to add old contracts to NT7 instrument list without resetting PC clock?

        Thanks

          Hello RedDuke,

          Thank you for your post.

This is unfortunately not possible without changing the PC clock.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.
