I checked on historical data manager and data is there and for some reason I don't see it on the indicator.

please see the image on the bottom I have indicator called volumediffsum
on that I do calculation on monbull minus monbear

when I open new chart I can see the data, the problem that I have is that I have more than 50 charts on my workstation and open them again will tack a long time,

and it work before why not now?

    thanks.

    Hello,
Thank you for your post. What data provider are you connected to? This is shown in green in the lower left of the NinjaTrader Control Center.

To test, please try resetting your instruments.

Disconnect from your data feed: NinjaTrader Control Center > File > Disconnect > Select your data feed

Reset your Instruments: NinjaTrader Control Center > Tools > Options > Data tab > Reset Instruments >OK

Restart NinjaTrader > Connect (NinjaTrader Control Center > File > Connect > Select your connection

Please let us know if you are unable to receive the data after trying the above.

Anytime you make an invalid reference in your strategy, the Chart simply disappears from that point forward. Always be sure to check your log. Better yet, fire up Visual Studio and run a backtest.

            Hello 400396,

We would have to investigate to see what occurred.

Please send my your log and trace files via email, so that I may investigate this matter. You can do this from the platform by going to the Control Center --> Help --> Mail to Platform Support

Search the forum on that error message, and you will find many posts showing you how to take care of escaping the correct number of bars, so as to correct that issue.

I know that was just my first post, but I have been lurking and learning for some time now.

It is important to note that, once you hit that invalid reference, not only does your chart disappear, but your strategy has crashed and stops making additional trades in the backtest.

My other favorite, chart-disappearing error is when you accidentally Draw off the chart. It took me awhile to get the hang of TickSize, etc. to keep my drawings on the chart.
