Relative Vigor Index

hi all,

in the indicators section i found only the Relative Volatility Index, but i need the Relative Vigor Index.

Does somebody have the RVI or can create it?

great, many thx for that, it works perfectly

I had the RVI in the Fibonacci Trader Software, and that was only which I was missing on Ninjatrader.

Boy do I feel stupid. If you haven't noticed yet, Red leads Green when the markets going up and Green leading Red going down.

Its easy enough to fix if you know your way around.

Attached is an updated version. Download and install over the existing version.

This was not a problem, because i use the RVI for normal and hidden divergences.

However, for all other users they are use them, the updated version is better

NinjaTrader 8 comes with a pre-loaded RVI indicator.


You could right click on your chart > Indicators > select the RVI indicator from the list of available indicators > Click Apply and OK to save the changes.

I have found some scripts from our support forum by searching for Ehlers RVI, listed at the link below:

Here is a basic guideline of how to Import indicators.


To Import
1. Download the indicator to your desktop, keep them in the compressed .zip file.
2. From the Control Center window select the menu File > Utilities > Import NinjaScript
3. Select the downloaded .zip file
4. NinjaTrader will then confirm if the import has been successful.



Critical - Specifically for some indicators, it will prompt that you are running newer versions of@SMA, @EMA, etc. and ask if you want to replace, press 'No'

Once installed, you may add the indicator to a chart by:

• Right click you chart > indicators > Select the Indicator from the list on the left > New > OK
