Continuous contract ?

Hello NT,
Just curious if 6.5 or any version support Continuous contract, in other words
loading data not just current contract but for as many days as possible to see on chart. For example, on tradestation @es daily chart shows as far back as they have data. Is this available? or is this something for later version?

Please try the ##-## contracts for continuous contract.

I added ##-## in instrument manager under expiry, but when i create a chart , nothing loads, is there anything else i need to do ?

You need to be connected to a data provider like OpenTick,IQFeed,eSignal to get historical data for continuous contracts. E.g. ZenFire does not support continuous contract data.

I have an Open Tick feed, along with a Zenfire feed. The YM ##-## contract on the Opentick feed seems to stop at 3/20/08 (rollover day). I tried to merge data from the YM 06-08 contract into the ##-## contract, but I get the following errors:

"No Day data available for To instrument. Historical data is required for the target instrument in order to properly calculate the adjustment factor."

I get the same errorr for the Minute and Tick data.

How do I resolve this error to build a continuous contract?

You can't merge backwards, meaning June data into a instrument that has data earlier than that.
