Is there any fundamental difference between what happens when loading historical data from my data provider (IQFeed) when displaying that data on a chart vs. preparing to run a strategy? If I reload historical data, 1 minute interval, on a chart going back to Jan 2007 it happens within 2 or 3 seconds. However, if I run a backtest, that same data load will take 20-30 seconds. I am only talking about the time where the dialog box displays 'Loading Data' and the date/time information, not the running of the strategy itself.
