Heiken-Ashi - Alert Development Question

Thanks for the rHeikenAshi indicator. I tried it on 1 min ES. For some reason, it appears like it is plotting some "heikenashi dojis" by just a line instead of a candle. Like for example, on todays 1 min ES , for the 11:50 am and 12:22 pm bars, it is just plotting by a line (instead of a candle bar and body),even though the high of the bar was not equal to the low.

In trying to make a HASmoothed system using the wizard technique below, I had issues getting any trades. I may be a greenbelt, but upon inspection of the data box it would appear that something may be amiss as HAOpen, HALow, or HAClose, are sometimes higher than HAHigh.

I have not observed the same with the non-smoothed version.

I did try the posted strategy and it works as expected with the non-smoothed indicator - thanks. If I convert the same strategy to the smoothed variant, there are no trades and the data box values look odd.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Please do not export the file as a compiled assembly. We cannot view the code when it is in a DLL.

The strategy is precisely the same as the non-smoothed version below as far as I can tell. Insert smoothed = fail.

You want to print the values of your indicators and run the calculations by hand to see what is happening.

I see people are looking for this for a long time, so I took a quick shot and
modified existin HeikinAshi. You can access values from strategies or other indicators, plus I used override Plot method to draw it, so it's less resource hungry...

Thanks again that at least allowed me to download it. However it fails to import saying I may have duplicate names/methods elsewhere.

Do I have to remove the built in HekenAshi indicator or do something else?

If you cant help perhaps others who have used it may help.

Chelsea, were you able to come up with a solution to this issue? I'm interested in coding for Heiken Ashi values, but the coding necessary to replace the regular HA that is inaccessible to strategies exceeds my abilities.
