In chat trader if I use stop limit for stop loss with stop limit offset at "off" is it going to work the same as stop market order?
Thanks.

Hello,

This would work more like a limit order as the Stop and Limit price are going to be at the same price.

If you want to use Stop Loss to work like a Market Order, please right click on chart trader--> select "properties"--> set "Use stop market for stop loss orders" to true.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Then with "as is" condition, if I place a stop loss order at 10 to buy back,,,,and price just go down through 10 in a very thin market my stop order will never get filled unless price comes back at 10?

Yes - that's when you have the stop limit offset to off.

If you use a stop limit offset of say 10 ticks, price could fill once price reached 10 or all the down to 9.90 (10 ticks from the original stop). But nothing lower than that 10 ticks.
