Multi-timeframe

Hello,

Can anyone point me to a direction on how to make a strategy based on multiple timeframes? I would like to enter a position based on a 1-minute chart, but only if conditions on a 5-minute chart are met.

Can anyone point me to a direction on how to accomplish this?

You can do this simply by adding the 5 minute dataseries to your strategy and using it as part of your entrance criteria. Please find some links below that should help you.

Check to see if you are missing 1min bars when you load the 5min bars, i'm having issues with multiple time frames. In my case I load 1 min bars and 1day bars..

Are you unable to see the bars or are you unable to access the data? You shouldn't be able to see anything other than the chart main data series as strategies won't add these to your chart without additional steps.

I could not open the file for multiple time frames. Is there any other way to get it.

Are you trying to open the SampleMultitimeframe or SampleMultiInstrument strategy that comes with NinjaTrader and are unable to?
