Spot forex data for market display

If I cannot import spot forex data for market replay purpose in NT7, any other way to import it to NT7?
For example, from MT4 to NT7.

Hi WWMMACAU,

Thank you for your post.

You can import historical data by going to Tools-->Historical Data Manager-->Import and then you can choose to import the data from MT4 as that is one of the options for the import of data.

I am trying to import historical data from MetaTrader (MT4) and I read in this thread that this should be possible but when selecting Import in the Historical Data Manager I only have the options for "Metastock" and Ninjatrader, not MT4. Can you please explain how I can select the MT4 format?

Please set 'Format' to 'MetaStock' if you like to import data from MT4.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I renamed the CSV file exported from MT4 to "MASTER" and NinjaTrader starts importing. After a while however I get the folling error message:

"Failed to call method 'Initialize' for import type 'MetaStockImportType': Index outside the boundaries of the matrix.

Any suggestions?

Hello Rombout,

You will need to have original MASTER files. It is not supported to rename .csv files into MASTER files to import data as MetaStock.

Do you have any original MASTER files? Please see post #1 at the forum thread below for an example.
