Instrument Manager - Adding new Instruments

Adding instruments through Instrument Manager is a very tedious operation & may need to be simplified.

Adding multiple instruments is of course helpful, but to a limited extent.

To add new instruments, one has to select 'EVERY TIME' each of the options like:

currency / future / index / stock
tick size
currency
session template

default exchange / Additional exchange
symbol map etc.,

This very tedious.

I wish that there is a button with the functionality "Set these options as default for all the next instruments'"

If such a facility is there, after entering all the details for the first Instrument, for next instruments, one need to enter only 'Instrument symbol' & 'Description'.

These selected options may be applicable to the procedure to add instruments in bulk.

If this feature of default set of options for new instruments is already available, please pardon me and show me the way.

The suggestion is added to the list of possible future enhancements and is assigned to ID# 674. Unfortunately there is no information if and when the suggestion will be implemented.

Please note that you can import multiple stock instruments by importing a stock list as per the instructions at the link below.
