Market Replay chart not updating (appears frozen). Same thing in simulation mode.

Hello TF Trader,
Thanks for your post. Which date are you replaying? I'd take it that you're working with TF? Was this data recorded or downloaded from NinjaTrader servers?

Hi ,
I have tried numerous ranges for about 3 months back. I am looking at TF and ES. The data was downloaded from Ninja. Both simulator and market replay charts do not go forward, but in replay the scroll bar does go forward Thanks, Bill R |

Hi,
The most common issue I see with replay is an incomplete data set. To rule out this possibility, please select a single day and re-download that data via the File > Utilities > Download Replay Data menu. After downloading, connect to replay. Before clicking play, right click in the chart and select 'Go To'. Move to noon on the day you downloaded, then click Play. Does data stream after downloading a new copy of the data set?

Hi,
Which date's data did you choose to reload? Did you download only level I data or level II data as well?

Hello TF Trader,
Could it be you do not have Market Replay data available for the time you replay? Please right click the Market Replay control window and select 'Available Data'. Click the plus icon in front of the instrument in question to view at what times you have data available. Subsequently create a new chart. Right click the Market Replay control window and select 'Go to'. Select the date and time you have data available and hit Play. Check if the chart receives real-time data. Make sure the session template selected in the Data Series menu of the chart does not exclude the time of the Market Replay connection. The 'Default 24/7' session template does not exclude any time.

Hello,
I appear to be having this problem. There is no "Go To" option when I right click the chart on my version of the software which is 64 bit 7.0.1000.10 The DOM remains empty and the chart does not update but the replay control appears as though it is replaying. How do I "Go To" a particular date on the chart. I cannot work out how to do this!!! Any suggestions |

Hello PeterBrazel,
Thank you for your post. Who are you connected to? This is displayed in green in the bottom left hand corner of the NinjaTrader Control Center when connected. To go to a specific date using your chart > right click in the chart > select Data Series > and change the End Date to the date desired. I look forward to assisting you further.

Thank you for your assistance. My live broker is Mirus Futures but am not sure what this has to do with market replay. I thought I am to download the data from you and then connect to market replay to achieve this? Peter |

Hello PeterBrazel,
Thank you for that information. The "Go To" option is not available by right clicking in a chart, but is available by right clicking in the Replay Control window. The Replay Control window is only available when you are connected to the Market Replay Connection (File > Connect > Market Replay Connection), and you must be disconnected from all other connections to connect to the Market Replay Connection. You can download Market Replay Data for free by going to File > Utilities > Download Replay Data.
