not getting futures charts to plot

Hi I've just returned to NinjaTrader after a while away and am having setup problems.
I have a clean installation of the current NinjaTrader and a demo account setup with zenfire.
I can see prices in the time & sales chart and also I can trade the sim account from the DOM but nothing on the charts. on the viertical axis I seem to get only a tick for the whole chart with nothing on the horizontal axis. ie 0 then 0.1 on the y axis when viewing TF 03-12
I guess I have something not set right but don't know what. Any help will be gratefully received :-)

ps daily month etc $eurusd plots fine.
