It can but I can't provide that graphics object to it if I call it directly (because I don't have it).

Just as long as we remember that they MIGHT break it in a subsequent release, which, I am sure is part of the reason that it is undocumented and unsupported.

Given the stability of their framework, this is very unlikely to be broken in the future, but one never knows. That is why I always go on these convoluted journeys to use supported methods, and only go the unsupported route after I throw up my hands in disgust at my own poor skills.
