was doing a bit of testing on replay today

entry price line disappears and P&L calculation stops updating

was able to reproduce

going into chart trader settings, changing parameters and clicking ok fixes the display

opened another trade on the charttrader and there it was again, thats all there was to reproduce

however, i cant seem to reproduce it now and i am wondering if it might have to do with my internet connection which was quite flakey recently, even though i am on replay as said above

NT 7.0.0.23 with IB TWS 906

If I want to use the chart trader to enter a new position via context menu, I am offered a choice between

- buy limit
- sell limit
- sellstop limit

A buystop is never offered. Also there is no buy stop market and sell stop market.

Also buystop and sellstop is calculated from fantasy values. CL 12-10 is now trading at 87.81, The buy limit, sell limit and sellstop is shown at 86.47.

What options you get is sensitive to where you actually click on the chart. If you right click above the market then you will have "Buy Stop" available. If you right click below the market you will have "Buy Limit" available. It does not make sense to have a "Buy Stop" order below the market and would actually be a rejected order which is why you don't get that option.

As far as Buy/Sell Stop Market, when you select "Buy Stop" or "Sell Stop" the market aspect is already implied by those order types.

The values of the orders you submit is wherever you right clicked on the chart. If you right clicked on the chart at 86.47, that is where your orders will be submitted at. If you right clicked at a different price you will get that price instead.

Also, to clarify, are you sure you see a "Buy Limit" and a "Sell Limit" in the same context menu from the same right click? Clicking below the market should only yield the options in the attached screenshot.

thanks for the explanation, this was a user error on my side!

I have never used the chart trader, as I use the DOM, so I should possibly have spent more time reading the documentation.
