Default Most imported data does not display in Chart.

I successfully imported 7 text files that contained ES tick data. All imported data shows up well in the "Historical Data Manager" --> "Edit" tab. Each row of data looks correct and similar to its neighbor.

I can display tick data between 1997 and 12/10/2004 into a chart; however, the problem is that I cannot display any data after 12/10/2004. I dont see any error messages in the log.

Do you have any ideas? Is there anyway I can make NT7 give me more information about why the data is not being displayed in the chart?

Thanks,

David

Hello David,

Can you please tell me for what instrument you imported the historical tick data. If this is a futures instrument, please ensure to use the proper expiry month.

Check if the settings under 'Data' in the Data Series window is setup properly as well.

Default Fixed: Chart now displays all ES futures tick data

Hi Jason,

I tried and few more things to no avail until I found this post:

http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...1&postcount=19

I basically only followed one step:

"Tools->Options->Data: set merge options to DoNotMerge."

and then the chart displayed all imported data for any date.

I think NT7 should automatically try to guess the appropriate merge setting based on patterns in the data being imported. This would save a lot of head aches for people trying to get up and running with NT7.

Thanks again for your help!

David
