hi,
I tried today NT 7 b 17 in real time. Under NT 6.5, my workspace consumes 10% CPU time (Max). Under NT 7, the same workspace consumes 52% CPU time. proc : XII 3 Gh Memory usage is identical in both versions (150 Mo). 8 chart 0 indicator with calculate close bar false 1 market I think there 's a real problem.

hello
I managed to optimize my work space. This is not an optimal solution but it works. Reminder: the same work space between NT 6.5 and 7 b 17 or 18 8 Charts 0 real time indicator I tried it on two different PCs and the result is identical 6.5: RAM: 157 MB Graphics memory usage: 24 MB CPU usage: 12% MAX 7: RAM: 147 MB Graphics memory usage: 21 MB CPU usage: 52% MAX amendment (only for NT 7 b 17 or 18, under 6.5, I have not even bp): Display Update Interval I increased the value to 5 see 60 seconds on the UTs long CPU Usage = 12% MAX This is perhaps not the optimal solution is that NT-7, is really a pb, I do not know. I hope you have simply provides elements cordially adrien |

Hi Josh
my area of work is not exceptional. But those who consume more CPU time are two charts for 30 minutes where I use an indicator that I developed myself, iMarketProfile1_7 (you are in the section File Sharing) that contains a lot of output. The same indicator iMarketProfile1_65 (for NT 6.5), with Display Update Interval 0.5 sec will consume anything. |

hegh2000,
I see. Unfortunately we would not be able to comment on performance of 3rd party custom indicators. If you are seeing differences in behavior it would be best to bring this up to the original author of the script to see if they can resolve it in their custom code.

Josh, thank you for your reply
but the author is me, the version is identical to 1_7 and 1_65. The only difference is the adaptation of the DrawText routine that does absolutely nothing in the performance of the indicator. Thank you very much. |

I tried with 6 charts without this indicator, but with default values, 0.5 sec for Display Update Interval, the result is striking, the consumption of CPU is the dual 6.5.

I threw your indicator onto a chart and used Window's Resource Monitor to monitor NinjaTrader's CPU use. It loaded up onto the chart and average CPU use is 2%. I am not seeing anything adverse in NT7 with CPU usage.
