Default TT Fix server is not responding...cannot connect

I successfully enabled NinjaTrader to accept data feeds through Trading Technologies (TT); when I attempted to connect to TT, however, I received the error shown below. Why?

This means either -

- Your PC is unable to reach the specific TT servers due to either servers are down or ISP issues somewhere between your PC and the servers
- You have entered the IP/port information incorrectly

Try again later to see if it might be the former and double check the data you entered when creating the account connection.

Default Same problem d

I am having the exact same problem but I know your two solutions do not apply to me (as I have move the computer to another connection and it worked fine there) so what else could it be? I believe the connection is to blame as we have a wireless network running off a satelite connection. But what else could cuase that problem and how do i fix it?

Thanks

Hello oddsocks,

When you connected at the other location, did you make use of a different ISP?

If so, most likely the issue is related to the ISP connection at the main location.

So Do ijust email to ISP and say "I can do everything else online but why are you blocking Ninjatrader?"

It seems strange that NT or more precisely the TT connection is the only thing that doesn't work. How do I figure out why?

No, it just means that your broker likely shuts down the server over the weekend. Best to call them to confirm

Hi there sorry about this being my first post.I have the same problem and Im sure its ISP based.Do you have any idea what would cause an ISP to prevent the TT trader connection so I can steer them in the right direction to resolve the issue..Cheers

Yes I do make use of a different ISP, so what will help me connect? I know the settings are fine as I have connected from both computer b4 and Jason also tested these settings.

Hello oddsocks,

Am I correct you are still unable to connect from your main location?

If so and broker servers are not down, some setting on your end is causing the connection not to be established, since we verified we can connect from different locations.

Software such as (corporate) firewalls, spyware and anti-virus software, can be blocking the connection. In some cases the router is the cause; bypass the router and connect directly to your modem. In some rare cases the ISP is preventing the connection to be established.

I get this error on weekends . I assume the servers are actually closed
down . It works after 3:00 Pm EST on Sunday . Have not seen this during
the week .

Hello T2020,

It seems in your case the connection cannot be established because of the TT servers being down during the weekend.
