Could someone help with creating a SMA of the custom indicator

In general, you would pass the DataSeries of the ATRTrailing indicator over into the input for the SMA().

As a last resort you can try contacting one of the NinjaScript Consultants here: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/pa...injaScript.htm

Change the Plot Style from Dot to Line to see if is that what you need.
