I just installed Ninja Trader 7 on Windows XP, but when I try to launch it the program crashes with no specified error message, just asking if I want to send microsoft the crash report.
Any clue as I could solve the problem ? Thanks a lot |

i've SP3 installed, not sure about .net, how do I check ?

Here are some ways to check the registry keys: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1...-are-installed anyways, check out this microsoft page, make sure you have all windows updates (there's a link there). http://www.microsoft.com/download/en...1#instructions You'll probably have more windows security updates to install if you need to upgrade. I installed .NET 4 and the problem still remains, Ninja Trader crashes on startup. Now I will try to run windows update and see what happens. Thanks for support.

No luck, I installed all windows updates, restarted the computer, but Ninja Trader keeps crashing. Don't know what to try now. Perhaps I should upgrade to windows 7.

Thanks for the support received by email, I just solved the problem.
I was installing Ninja trader on a Windows XP virtual Machine on a OSX Lion host with Parallels 7, and the problem was "Share Mac User Folders with Windows" was active, which is not supported. I removed Ninja Trader, deselected the option and reinstalled it again. Now it works. |
