Default unrealized/realized valuta symbol wrong currency

in the strategies tab does not follow the valuta for the instrument traded.

erroneously the valuta symbol for the current culture currency symbol is displayed.

Instead it sould just read the currency of the Instrument.

regards

zweistein,

The units will be displayed the same just like how it is displayed in the Performance tab. Since only one currency is used for performance reporting, only one will show up here.

If you want to do things properly then you could download together with all the NinjaTrader settings also the exchange rate for the tradeable currencies.

Then in realized/unrealized you display the currency that the user has choosen in Windows-Control Panel -> Region and Language Settings- Currency.

To convert the Instruments currency to the PC local Currency you use the daily exchange rates .

This would be already much better than the current situation where there is a happy mix of instrument currency and local currency and you never know to which the value refers.

You could enhance this also very well in the future by adding the time series of the exchange rates. Then also backtesting and marketreplay mixed currencies would yield the correct PNL.

regards
andreas

Thank you for the suggestion Andreas. I have added it onto our feedback list.

This seems to be a variation of bug 3142 that was fixed by beta 5 ( see http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...ease_notes.htm )
but has been re-introduced by beta 16.
Can it be re-fixed please?
Tabs affected are Strategies and Positions

Dave, the bug from Beta5 dealt specifically with the Account Performance section - what zweistein noted and suggested is on our feedback list as Josh noted...

Bertrand,

But which one?

The answer from Josh and you did not acknowledge any bug (that needs to be fixed for the next beta).
Zweistein is suggesting a comprehensive improvement to Internationalisation of NT, and this is the sort of thing that presumably goes into your feedback list for NT8.

But beta 16 introduced a bug (not in beta 15) where local currency symbol is being used instead of the instrument symbol.
Can you confirm that this is in the feedback list for fixing in the next beta please?

Dave, I'm not sure I follow you - please clarify, I don't see a bug in B16 in this regard, it would work the same NT 6.5 where user regional settings would be shown (except the Strategy Analyzer backtesting would be in USD).

If I trade ES on my PC in German settings, I see Euro being reported as Pnl for this position in the Positions tab for example, same setup on my US PC would display this as USD of course.

Thanks
