How do I set up following strategie in NT v6:

Lets say I trade 3 contracts ES:

initial stop on 3 contracts = -1.00

1st target 1 contract = take profit @ +0.50 , when hit remaining contracts stop = -0.50

2nd target 1 contract = take profit @ +1.00, when hit remaining contract stop = 0.00

3th target 1 contract = when +1.25 is hit, stop = +0.25 & trailing stop of 1.00 as soon as +2.00 is hit

thank you!

Hi T4M:

Thank you for your post.

I have a couple of screen shots of the setup.

Please note, the custom stop AutoTrail for the third contract requires a 2 step Autotrail.

You will have to adjust the Frequency to 1 after it reaches 8 ticks (2 pts) in profit so that it will continue to trail for each addtional tick in profit by the same amount. If you wish to have this occur at 1 point in profit, simply change to a 1 step setup and choose frequency of 1.

Also, I placed a profit target of 12 ticks (3pts) for your third target since you did not specify a value.

Please see the following screen shots.

Best regards,

Ryan

Ryan, thanks for helping me out! I have an additional question ... You used a 12 tick target for the 3th contract. Will I get out as soon as it reach +3.00 than? I did not place a target because I want to be stopped out by the trailing stop on this contract.

Hi:

I see.

That is okay, I only used a 3 pt target so I could test and have a value for the third target.

You may set this to a value of '0' and then you would just have a running trailing stop until you close out your trade.

Best regards,

Ryan
