Hi everyone,
One of our clients wants to evaluate NT, but they first would like to check out its performance analysis. Is there a way we can feed NT this client's trade history in order to demonstrate NT's extensive performance analysis capabilities? I was thinking about writing an indicator that would read from a database and somehow supplant that information into NT's database. I'm unsure if this is even possible. Any insight would be much appreciated. thanks! jon |

Hello,
My suggestion is to go to either: - Place dummy trades in the sim101 account and use that. - Show him the Help documents regarding the account performance capabilities: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...Overview8.html - Go to File>Utilities>Backup and backup a database with a large trade history the email the backup file (located in Document>NinjaTrader Backup) to your client have him/her restore via File>Utilities>Restore and use these trades.

NT_Ben,
Thanks for the suggestions. This client does an enormous amount of trades per day. We will definitely be passing along the help documents that you mentioned, however seeing it in person is ALOT more compelling than documentation. For #3 - that is precisely my question. How would I create a 'database with a large trade history'? I can get all of the client's trade history in an excel file, I know how to read from/write to excel files from within Nscript, but where would I be inserting the data in order for NT to see it? thanks! jon |

Hello,
Modifying the trade history is not supported. You will need to create one or use someone else's. You will need to place trades in the sim101 account.
