I'm evaluating the NinjaTrader simulator with my MBTrading account, and a very strange thing is happening. I can bring open a SuperDOM and get NT to display quotes forER2 andYM, but it will NOT display quotes when I choose the ES or the NQ. As per theconnectivity guide for MBTrading on the support website, I changed the exchange to 'DEFAULT'. I did this for ER2, YM, ES and NQ, but no matter what I do, ES and NQ just will not work. When I choice either of these, the DOM will just remain blank with no quotes....same for the basic entry window.
I'm positive I'm using the correct symbols for the ES and NQ..... /ESH5 for ES, and /NQH5 for NQ. There symbols work perfectly in the MBTrading Navigator quote window, so I know they are correct. Any suggestions on what's wrong here? Thanks, Jeff |

When you try to request data for these symbols, what does the log tab of the control center window say? Any error messages?

I just tried it again for ES and NQ and looked at the error log....absolutely nothing, no errors at all.

Please ensure that the exchange is DEFAULT and the expiration is March. Should say ES 03-05.

Yes, theexpiration is set to March, 03-05. As far asI can tell, there is nothing different in the settings of the working symbols vs. the non-working ones...aside from the symbol names themselfs.

Delete the following file -
C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 4\Data\instruments.txt then run the installer again. Then restart and change the exchanges to Default again then try.

Well, there is no file called "instruments.txt" in that folder...but there is one called "instruments.nt", assuming you meant that one...I deleted it, ran the installer again, changed the exchanges to "Default" again....and exact same results as before.
I even uninstalled NT, deleted the "NinjaTrader 4" folder, reinstalled, set all exchanges to "Default", and go the same results...... ER2 and YM work, ES and NQ do not........ARG!!!!!!! What gives???? Is anyone out there using NT with MBTrading that has it working? |

Do you have any other suggestions on getting this working? I would really like to subscribe to NT for my MBTrading account, but I trade mostly the ES, and that's the symbol that's NOT working......

Change the MBT Symbol in the symbol manager to
ES instead of /ESH5
