This may be a silly question, but I have been trading the er2 with the Ninja charts and decided to put a few stock charts up, butit appearsthat I amlimited to the 127 stocks on the Instrument Lookup page that comes up when I specify 'stock' chart. Am I interpretting this correctly? How do I select a stock that is not one of the 127?
Thanks

Hello,
Go to Tools\Instrument Manager\New......from here you can add the instrument into your available master instruments by entering contract specification data. You should then be able to view it in the available master instruments.

You can also...
From within a chart
- Right click -->Instrument-->Custom
- Under "Type" select "Stock"
- Under "Name" enter the stock symbol, it will automatically be added to the Instrument database

When i try either of those methods i get to the last box and click 'OK' and it tells me "You need to select an Instrument", even though my stock is identified in the "Instrument" section. Any idea what i'm doing wrong?
Also, when loading the stock via the instrument manager, it says i need to select a symbol mapping value. Do i just load the stock name there under my brokerage?

No idea. Dumb question, but I assume you are connected to either IB or MBT that supports stocks.
Please double check the procedure. I just verified it. You can also select File-->New-->Chart, then select "Stock", then type in a symbol.

before i tried to create a stock chart in Ninja, i created a line in the IB window forone of thestocks i'm interested in, so IB appears to be giving me the data (on their system at least).
I'll be out Friday. I'll try again on Monday.
