Hi,
I currently trade futures through IB with an esignal datafeed. I would like to know if it is possible to collect forex data from IB instead of esignal (as I don't have the feed in esignal and would like to avoid to pay for it).
Thanks

Sure, connect to IB only and then try to bring up a FX currency pair.

What about the esignal connection, would like to continue to have future data at the same time.

Hello,
You can record and display data for only one data feed per instrument at a time.
For example you cannot display one instrument via one data feed and record it on another data feed without using two seperate PC's.

I'm trying to record and display data for:
- futures using my esignal connection
- forex using the IB connection
and trade everything through IB. Is this possible?
Thanks

The datafeed you connect to first will be the one recorded because both supply data for futures and Forex.
You can connect to Esignal first for data and still execute through IB but all the data would come through Esignal.

So it's not possible to have FX data from IB and still be connected to esignal for futures data?

Hi Ryker,
This is correct, it is not possible because IB can populate futures contracts therefore eSignal futures would not be used.
