Hi-

This is my first time having to rollover an es contract.

I'm sure this has been answered a million times but I cannot find a link or info on Rolling over the ES to Sept. Can you give me the info on doing this.

Some of the more popular contracts (ES, NQ, ER, YM) will rollover to the September contract today. Below is a quick reminder how to set up the new contracts in NinjaTrader:

NinjaTrader Version 4 Users Change the expiry date. You can do this in Instrument Manager. Highlight the instrument on the left window side and change the expiry date to 09-06. Then close the Calendar window and press Update. Then open up a DOM and see if the updated contract is listed and select it for data.

NinjaTrader Version 5 Users Open up the Instrument Manager, highlight the contract on the left window side. Then press the '>' button. The instrument will disappear from the list , check if the expiry is 09-06, if it is, press the '<' button and the instrument will be back in the list and is updated. Now press OK. If the expire date is not set to 09-06, change it to this date and press the '<' button, then press OK. So do I understand Vincent when you say" Some of the more popular contracts (ES, NQ, ER, YM) will rollover to the September contract today"

means the es will automatically roll over today or will I have to change it manually?

Vincent-

Still trying to bet NJ simulator to show es rollover .

I am running simulation version 5.1 and I did highlight the es 06-06 and then press the > button but nothing is happening.The es isnot disappearing .

It seems that I cannot get the ES 06-06 to delete from the left side of the page as attachment shows.

I am answering on behalf of Vincent.

Are you unable to remove other contractsas well? Try going to Tools/Options/Misc and click the Repair DB button. Also, I suggest upgrading to NinjaTrader v5.2.0.2Beta. You can do so from the following link:
