View Full Version : Impossible to open a CAC40 chart

Hello,
I have a probleme.
I can open a chart of the future of cac40 with NT (i use zenfire connexion). When i try to do it a chart open but there is nothing on it.
May be it's because i delete this future in the instrument manager (at the moment to change 06 contract to 07 contract)
I try to fix this problème by installing the lat version of NT (6.5.1000.4) and try to repair the database by the menu option - misc - repair db but i have no success.
Can you help me please?

There is no CAC40 07-08 expiry. There only is a CAC40 06-08 and a CAC40 09-08 contract, since the CAC40 rolls every 3 months.

07-08 contrat exist for the future CAC40 and it rolls every months.
For test I just try to open a chart with the contract of 09-08 and i have the same problem, the chart open but there is nothing on it.

Please try these settings in the Instrument Manager for your CAC40.

My apologies, you are right. Please try this:
- Tools->Options->Misc->Reset instruments
- restart NT

Oups there is somehing i can't understand and i need your help please.
I have 2 computers ... i use NT on this 2 computeurs and this problème was on the 2... this opération resolve my problème only on one of them.
I see something, at the "log" menu, i have this message:
" Instrument "CAC40 07-08" is not supported.
What i have done without success:
- Uninstall NT
- Install last version
- Reload historical data
- Reset instrument
- Repair DB
- Check parameters of Josh (correct)
What else can i do?

Try if adding "CAC40 07-08" to your default instrument list in instrument manager makes a difference

- find any occurance of CAC40 and delete it
- Tools->Options->Misc->Reset instruments
- Restart NT
If issue persists, then you need to delete your DB file <my documents>/NinjaTrader6.5/db/NinjaTrader.mdb. Note: you will loose all your historical trade and chart data.

Hello,
The probleme is now appeared again.
Each month, when I change contract (08.08 to 09.08 for example) this problème come back.
I try all you told me next month but this time it didn't fix my problème.
Can you help me?

Are you still using CAC40? If so please follow Dierks instructions below to delete it.
If not, please tell me what contract and expire you are using. Also, are you getting any errors in the log tab?

Thank you for the rapidity of the answer.
Yes the trouble is for the future CAC40.
I have done all dierks instructions without success. I'm using contract cac40 09-08 and in the log tab i've got the message:
" Instrument CAC40 09-08 is not supported"
What else can I do?

Hello,
I find an issue. It's a little extreme but it works now.
What i do:
1) Uninstall NT
2) Erase the folder "document and setting - Ninja Trader"
3) Reboot
4) Install NT
One question if i have the problème next month ... is it possible to made a backup of the templates? if yes how can i do?
