Sendmail Test

Under Options, Misc tab, I am trying to test the email function.
I have entered my gmail credentials and press the Test... button, then receive the following dialog box message:
"Fail to send mail: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS first. 31sm9003532wff.10"

My gmail outgoing server is smtp.gmail.com, and I am using port 587. These settings work for my regular email. Could you please explain the message, and what I need to do to send an email to my gmail account.

Sorry I don't know. I suggest trying a different mail server or leave the default settings.
