I am a long time user of Ninja and recommend it to many people who trade with me.
However, this is an ongoing problem, turning Ninja off during the day for whatever reason (this time it said I was long ER but I wasn't - told it to cancel all orders and flatten but just got an error message so exited normally) can't get back on Pats.

Running a late model computer on Windows XP - nothing customized.

Hi,

What version of NinjaTrader are you using? Can you send an email from within the application under Help--> Mail to support.

Also what is the exact error message that shows up and what happens when you try to connect to Pats?

Hi Vince, Just sent email with log. No error appears except in log. How can I clear this stuff to avoid getting shut out time and again?

Running 5.1000.2 - error in log says Pats.Callback.Startup: exception caught: The changes you requested to the table were not successful because they would create duplicate values.

Sorry Vince, no email and not in spam folder. Could you copy here in case it applies to others?

Hi Tom,

This is what I found in the log:

04/19/06 2:54:45 PM|3|4|Pats.Callback.StartUp: exception caught: The changes you requested to the table were not successful because they would create duplicate values in the index, primary key, or relationship. Change the data in the field or fields that contain duplicate data, remove the index, or redefine the index to permit duplicate entries and try again.

Can you do the following and try to connect again.
Go to Tools--> Options--> Misc tab--> Repair DB. Then restart NinjaTrader.

No luck, Vince. Said "database repaired" exited, re-entered same error.

Deleted the Access based database and restarted normally - might be the only fix.
