View Full Version : Sharing Instrument Lists

Are you guys (NT) keeping a clean, full Master Instrument set? I find that there are very few ETFs, for example. I am wanting to backtest 100 ETFs, and have to enter well over 90% of them. New stocks and ETFs are added frequently. Does someone at NT keep an updated list? I'm sure it would be helpful for new installation, to have all Instruments. Also, I have accidentally deleted a few Instruments, while trying to learn how to use the Instrument Manager. :(

If not ... might I suggest an import / export concept, where users and NT could share subsets (per Instrument List). This way, if I enter my 100 ETFs, I could share them with others who might be interested (and vice-versa).

There is a "Reset Instruments" under Tools > Options > Misc. We are working on improving overall database coverage in future versions.

Thanks for the reply and Reset suggestion.

I don't think I'll be able to use it though. Won't I loose my added Futures and ETFs (and a few IPOs)?
