Hi,

I just purchased a multi-broker license. I have an NT branded Gain account and an MBT Forex account. Is it possible to connect to and place trades with both Gain and MBT or must I disconnect from one and then connect to the other in order to place trades?

If so, will I have to do the same if I add an MBT futures account?

We may have disabled the ability to connect both simultaneously however, if you can we highly advise that you do not. The reason is that MBT uses fractional pricing and the current supported accounts at GAIN do not. This means for MBT you must enable sub pip support under Tools > Options > Misc but for GAIN not. Mixing the two can create undesired results.

Purchasing a lifetime multi-broker license and then being unable to use it is an "undesired result".

Currently NT prevents connecting to both, at least in version 6.5.1000.1.

Do you intend to fix this issue?

This is on our list for future consideration. We have looked at it before and its not a trivial thing to workaround.

Now the next issue. I open an MBT Forex connection. Close the MBT Forex connection. Open the Gain connection. Close the Gain connection. Try to open the MBT Forex connection and NT replies that NT must be restarted in order to connect to MBT Forex.

This means that every time I swap connections to view my position in the Gain account I have to restart NT.

Is this something that can be fixed more easily?

Not this can not unfortunately since this is a requirement of the MBT API itself. We can't control that.

Ok, well enough complaining from me. I would like to pass along that I really like NT. I find the chart trading functionality to be indispensable. Also, thank you for adding MBT Forex as a broker. The tighter spreads and additional order types are nice.

Also, you guys reply very quickly to forum posts which is awesome.

Just for your info you can have multiple MBT Forex accounts and even have opposing positions in them hedging one another.

I don't but I've heard that its simple to switch between accounts.
