i tried to connect NT using simulation data feed and when i tried forex using $EURUSD using IBIdeal exchange, i get no datafeed. My simulation datafeed works fine on ER/ES/YM but for forex, no datafeed.

I use IB with NT with IBIdealpro Exchange,

When I submit the order,I always get error message "Unable to submit order now, : No market Data availavle, "

I have to use IBIdealPro exchange for actual FOREX trading, IBdeal is only for currency conversion.

I sentmy error long to support but so far, no one replied or fix my problem.

Thanks

Can you get market data in TWS using IdealPro?

Hi Sam,

Yes you get market data or yes you have been trading? If you enter a currency pair in IB TWS, then select cash, then select a pair for IdeaPro, do you get market data on the market data line in TWS?

Thanks

i am not sure what do you mean by market data line in TWS?

when i enter pair using cash and ibidealpro, i do get live data feed and i could trade right there by clicking buy/sell.

Hi Sam,

No update since we are not sure if we will continue support IB FX in the future. We are a few weeks away from releasing FX through GAIN Capital.

Ray hi.

As I am using IB TWS for all data feeds I would be worried if the Idealpro feed was dropped even if there were arguments in favour of the alternative (as opposed to the alternative being added to the Ninja arsenal). I simply don't have time to manage an additional broker and data feed. Come to think of it I don't have time to manage what I've got :)

Our plan is to release late this coming week. Since you already have an account with GAIN, there are some behind the scenes things we will need to do to make it work. Can you send me an email to ray@ninjatrader.com (mailto:ray@ninjatrader.com) referencing this post and also let me know if you have an introducing broker for your GAIN account.

Thanks

Ray

I am concerned that FX trading with IB may no longer be supported, is this likely? I have been with IB for sometime and would not change my broker at this stage.

That is correct, we will no longer be supporting IB for FX.

This is unwelcomed news that Ninja and forex is no exclusive to gain/forex.com

I tried to open an account with gain and they couldn't even get it right when i tried to fund my account with then i hate to think how they would act if i tired to with draw funds and customer service is the worst i have seen.

I have stop using Ninja because of this and now use MT4 for my forex trading. Its a shame because i loved ninja and the C# programming it supported.

Is there any reason why Ninja is exclusive to Gain in regards to forex?
