Hi
I want to restrict the session start / finish times in market analyser for the YM to update only when the cash market is open (for me here in Europe that is 15:30 - 22:15). I have set this up accordingly using the properties function, but the analyser is still updating as we speak despite us being outside the above time range.
Please advise what I am doing wrong.
many thx !
David

- please make sure you are on latest 6.5.1000.1
- please make sure session begin/end properties are set correct in the MA
- please double check your PC lock is in sync and you did not manually change the time on our PC clock
- please make sure your PC clock is set to the correct time zone

Dierk
Thx for your note. The answers to each question are below:
- please make sure you are on latest 6.5.1000.1 - YES
- please make sure session begin/end properties are set correct in the MA - YES
- please double check your PC lock is in sync and you did not manually change the time on our PC clock - YES
- please make sure your PC clock is set to the correct time zone - YES
I have charts set up that run in restricted times with no problem.
Any further advice?
many thx
David

There likely is a misunderstanding. The session begin/end properties are effective only on indicator based MA columns.
However, I just added to our list to make them effective for the other columns too.

OK didn't realise that. Shame

This is still not solved ?
I am using Ninja7.
My MA is not showing session values for:
- percentage change
- open
Very confusing with the (useless) ability to change sessions under preference.

Hello makra081,
Market analyzer uses session templates to define trading times. The selection for the session template is made through the Right Click > Properties screen.
You can see how times are defined or create your own custom session template through Tools > Session manager. (http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/helpGuides/nt7/session_manager.htm)
