I am connecting to Interactive Brokers, receiving data with no problems. But when I fill out trade parameters and enter an order (mkt or lmt) It only puts on a naked postion. Even if I save the strategy and select it from the dropdown menu it will only place the order, not the stop and the target. Same for both long and short trades.

When I try to short I get the following message as well: Buy stop or sell stop limit orders can't be placed below the market. Affected order: Buy 10 StopLimit @ 1x6

Hi,

Can you send a note to support@ninjatrader.com (mailto:support@ninjatrader.com) with your settings. Can you send it directly from within V5, Help--> Mail to Support

Please check what parameter type you are using within your order entry window. I suspect you are using 'Price' which will submit an order at the price of 1 x 6 instead of what you are likely looking for which is either 1x6 ticks or points away from entry. Use the Tick parameter type and enter in the amount of ticks you want you the stop to be placed at.

YM has been so wild lately I havent tried the OCO ENTRY function since I dont know when. But today with this sideways morning I tried it and the green light lit up on the DOM but it wouldnt let me put in a sell limit above while I was working a buy below. Am I doing something wrong or have you checked this on 5113? These are straight limit opposing entry orders.

Select a new strategy after placing the first order.

OK that works but what do I do when I'm in on wrong strategy??
it would be really really great if once in we could reset strategy so that it would set brackets against either scale in avg. price or OCO entry execution price........

work in progress :)
